ComAp InteliLite NT MRS 19

The IL NT MRS 19 controller by ComAp is a compact gen-set controller designed for single operating gensets that require manual & remote start (MRS) operation. The MRS 19 provides full gen-set monitoring and protection with outstanding EFI engine support including diagnostic messages in plain text via J1939.

Controller Upgrade Path

The MRS 19 is the recommended upgrade replacement for the MRS 15 or the MRS 17.

IL NT MRS 15 to IL NT MRS 19

The MRS 19 is the same physical size as the MRS 15 making it a direct drop in replacement. The MRS19 offers more IO than the MRS 15. The replacement controller must be manually programmed based on the MRS 15 parameter settings.

IL NT MRS 17 to IL NT MRS 19

If the MRS 17 is in a gen-set that uses a 12 VDC battery system, it is recommended to order the IL-NT-REL12V7P along with the MRS 19 controller. The relay plug-in card provides a two-wire dry contact on binary output 1 and 2 which the MRS 17 had but the MRS19 does not. The relay card is fitted in the bottom right. Remove the bottom 2 terminal blocks and replace with the relay.

Retrofit Third-party Controllers to ComAp IL NT MRS 19

A number of get-set manufacturers in the US including Magnum, Generac & Baldor OEM'd ComAp controllers. If the OEM controller has failed and is out of warranty then the ComAp IL NT MRS 19 could be a cost effective replacement.

The new controller would need to be programmed to suit the gen-set. At SAI, we offer a fixed cost parameter transfer service to migrate the controllers settings from the old controller to the replacement controller. Ideally the old controller can be powered on and communication established, but if not, we would request details of the gen-set, ECU and wiring / IO details.
