Services
SAI Power Systems offers the following factory and field services.
Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)
Depending on project size a customer may request or be offered a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). The witness test will be coordinated with the SAI, typically running through the sequence of operation. The test allows the customer to observe the equipment working to specification. The tests are documented and customer signs off on the FAT test results.
Site Acceptance Test (SAT)
Depending on project size a customer may request or be offered a site acceptance test (SAT). SAI field tech(s) / engineers will attend onsite to verify equipment arrived in good order and check functionality. They will then perform a SAT test based on FAT test confirming system is performing to expectation. If the test passes the SAT test is accepted and documented.
Onsite Diagnostic Support
If customer is having technical difficulties and would like SAI onsite support, then they can request field service. The field service tech travel onsite to investigate and diagnose the reported issue. Service charges are portal to portal and may include overnight stay if location is outside greater Houston area or the investigation requires a multi-day visit.
Retrofitting Panels
Retrofitting panels allows faulty or obsolete equipment to be replaced with new equipment.
A walk-though is typically performed in order to inventory equipment. Old equipment is usually sent to SAI for retrofitting. New equipment is installed, configured and tested prior to shipment. Panel are tied into existing operations and commissioned to verify functionality and integration of operations.
Retrofitting control panels is a cost-effective way to address aging, broken or unsupported equipment. New equipment delivers improved performance, new features like digital controls and modern communication protocols plus improved maintenance with active product support and warranty.
ComAp Controller Programming
We offer controller programming services. There are two levels of programming. A parameter transfer service is based on exporting and importing controllers config from one controller to a replacement within the same controller family / model. A more intensive programming service is based on migrating from one controller family to another controller as part of a retrofit upgrade where the configuration requires manual recreation and adaption.
