SAI Power Systems has over 30 years of experience designing, building and integrating generator control switchgear and control panels. We have worked in partnership with construction companies like KBR, Paragon Engineering, Mustang Engineering, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.
Our team of engineers work collaboratively with our customers from proposal to delivery, from drawings to functional acceptance testing. Our customers include private corporations, municipalities and national government including ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, BP and Amoco.
Scope: Primary power & emergency power
On this project we provied the control system for utility and emergency generator power. System included intelligent energy management to maintain the most efficient and reliable power source to the facility. The facility is the primary source of natural gas to the country of Trinidad.
Scope: Provide essential power for the site
For this project we provided the electrical engineering, programming and control modules to provide the essential power. We used four Caterpillar 3612 engines (supplied by MustangCAT) and generators (supplied by Kato Engineering). Due to the client's design requirement, all I/O was handled inside the remote control panel and all field mounted end devices were wired back to the remote panel.
Scope: Provide essential and emergency power
On this project we provided the electrical engineering, programming and control modules. There were four Caterpillar 3616 engines and one 3508 Caterpillar engine (supplied by MustangCAT) and generators supplied by Kato Engineering for the essential, standby, and emergency power for both the TLP and FPSO.
Scope: Replace three pumps that had reached their end of life
On this project we provided the electrical engineering, programming and control modules. The three Caterpillar 3612 engines (supplied by MustangCAT) and pumps (supplied by Best Pump Works) were used for the retrofit of the existing units.
Scope: Provide essential and emergency power
We provided engineering, programming for the master control panel and four power control modules that coordinated operations of the individual essential units. These include three Caterpillar 3608 engines and one Caterpillar 3606 engine supplied by MustangCAT and generators supplied by Kato Engineering. The controls provided synchronization and load sharing, as well as controlling the four tie breakers and incoming utility breakers feeding each essential bus.
UL 1558 listed 5000A generator paralleling switchgear controlling and distributing power as the sole energy source. System PLC and switchgear provided with 100% redundant hardware to assure 24/7/365 reliable power.
Scope: Provide essential power for the LNG Terminal.
For this project we provided the electrical engineering, programing and control modules. A Caterpillar 3612 engine (supplied by MustangCAT) and generator (supplied by Kato Engineering) were used for the essential power of the LNG terminal.
